Weekend at Redcliffe

The rocky outcrop on the beach at Redcliffe, just 30 km north of Brisbane, provide an excellent spot for rock angling. First time ever I put my hands to angling and what happens, I catch 2 Blackdots and 1 Flounder (sole). Much to the amazement of my host and a couple of bystanders.

My host for the weekend, lives in Redcliffe and works in the Brisbane CBD. The life in Redcliffe is more relaxed than in the city.

The CitiCat on a Friday

The CitiCat on a Friday, packed with tourists.

Some interesting sculptures at Kangaroo Point

These sculptors were commissioned as part of the 1988 World Expo that was hosted in Brisbane. What is wonderful about this entire development next to the river, is the freedom to walk or cycle for kilometres without any danger of cars. The views of the cityscape are absolutely stunning.

Awesome view from Mt Coo-tha

Mt Coo-tha is just west of the city of Brisbane. From here one can see the entire Brisbane and surrounding suburbs. It is truly breathtaking.
